Philip returned to Britain.
Mr.Philip Harper, who came to Japan a year before and took part in our
rehersal, returned home the other day. He is from the southwestern part
of Britain and majored in composition at Bristol University. He had
been playing solo horn in Sun Life Band, which is one of top bands in
Britain, until he came to Japan. During his stay in Japan, he performed
a splendid solo performance in our 14th concert. His talent in music is
so outstanding.
He gave us precious lessons which are quite valuable for our
performance. We were impressed with his activity as a composer. He went
so far as to compose a music piece for us.
We cordially hope his success in the future.
By the way, he took over as the music director of Thornbury Band, which
is one of the Championship Section bands. Congratulations! |
